It is not necessary for a researcher to go a long way and start his research from the basics in order to understand the reasons for the way thing are. Rather an art enthusiast, i.e. somebody who truly wants to understand, will find what he is looking for by closing his eyes and placing his finger on any page of art history. Yet, in order to understand when the foundations of modern painting were laid, we put our fingers, for the moment, on the seventeenth century and consider the art world of that time. And if we refer to the previous century it is because there is something we should be aware of: nothing exists in itself, in separation, out of a sudden and without mediation and all objects are always generally connected. Yet, the continuity of time conceals this connection under the veil of oblivion and complexity. That is why one needs to remove the dust of oblivion from their surface for better understanding and clarifying the situation.
