Alireza Rasoulinejad



Alireza Rasoulinejad (born 1975)  is an Iranian independent, self-taught filmmaker. In 2000, he produced and directed his first short film, Adagio. Between 2000 and 2003 he worked as the manager of Arasbârân (Art) Cultural Center’s film club, he held several programs about Cinema History. One of these programs was “Different Cinema: Ups and Downs.” In 2004, he directed and produced his first long film, Exteriors, an experimental film about contemporary Iran, which has been shown in a number of festivals. His second film, Minor/Major (2010) was an experimental documentary. His recent work, Scenes from the life of a detective (2017), is an experimental narrative movie. He is also the founder of Filmkhaneh Magazine. Since 2011 he has been working as a publisher and editor-in-chief at filmkhaneh. Filmkhaneh is an Iranian Film Quarterly Magazine.
